Indonesian Trade Promotion Center is proud to announce that Regional Government of Pekalongan City, under the leadership of Major Dr. Mohamad Basyir Ahmad, will hold an International Batik Week of 2009 at the Museum Batik Indonesia Area, Jetayu Street
Pekalongan City, Central Java-Indonesia from April 29 – May 3, 2009. This is a series of Batik exhibition, business contacts, seminar, Indonesian cultural performances, culinary excursion, fashion show, designing, and decorating competition with Batik atmosphere.

JAKARTA (JP): Against the backdrop of a possible U.S. recession, which has sent stock markets across the globe tumbling, the government is preparing measures to safeguard the country's economic stability.
"With this situation, the indicators in the state budget, and for economic growth and stability have changed drastically," Coordinating Minister for the Economy Boediono said Tuesday after a meeting with other top government officials.
